Why do a search before bidding, even if you think you know it's the right item?
Try our Help pages (Searching)
Search
before Buying:
To find out if the item
will work for you (e.g. did you want a PCI or AGP video
card? Does this blue ornament match my bedroom furniture? ), we strongly
encourage you to view the item and read the description. We are not
Walmart or CompUSA, and for this reason have an "as is"
policy. We do not take things back because the color was wrong for your
bedroom or your computer does not have an AGP slot or you didn't read the description right!.
We do not provide support for items such as installing items bought or finding drivers.
Accordingly, you should always check what the fair market value is for the item you want!
Meaning, "what can I buy this for in the stores?" Don't bid if
you're not sure or you may end up owning it!!
Search
before Selling:
Before
you sell, make sure you know what you have so you
can put it in the right category. Go to Google.com, type
in Model, Manufacture, Make or Ver.# and search eBay"Item
Search"
(there is a link in the drop down on this
page). There will probably be other items like yours. This will give you an idea of
what it is, a full description and also, what type of money you can expect to
make out
of it.
Search by ended auctions then you know what it really sold for....
